By petitioning the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas we are able to request appointment as conservator of blighted and abandoned properties.
Conservatorship gives us the rights to remediate blight as if we are the owners of the property.
The current owner or heirs to the property are given the first option to remediate the blight if they have the means and desire to do so.
After the blight has been remediated, the owner or heirs retain the property if they choose to cover the cost of the conservatorship.
If the property is sold, the owner or heirs receive 100% of the proceeds after the cost of the conservatorship is deducted.
